The Most Effective Way to Get
a Flat Belly
Forget the sit-ups and don’t deprive yourself!
Having a flat and toned stomach is everyone’s dream. It takes time, dedication and effort to lose stubborn belly fat.
In fact, it can sometimes seem impossible to reduce waist size that many people become frustrated and resort to hazardous weight loss drugs and starvation diet.
Furthermore, people believe that getting flat abs takes nothing more than doing sit-ups.
Unfortunately our body doesn’t burn fat in a conventional and logical way. The unwanted weight cannot be forcefully lost in a single area. Fat loss occurs throughout the entire body at the same time. The idea of finding weight loss success with spot reduction exercises is the biggest workout myths. In reality, the single most effective way to burn the abdominal fat is regular high-intensity physical activity — at least 30 minutes per day (and up to 60 minutes per day), such as jogging, cycling, swimming or aerobic exercise.
According to the American College of Sports Medicine, not only are more calories are burned in short, high intensity training, but high-impact aerobic activities tones muscle tissue and improve the metabolism.
Also a right approach of diet is required to get rid of the stubborn belly fat. It should be rich in complex carbohydrates (fruits, vegetables, and whole grains) and lean protein. Simple carbohydrates such as white bread, refined-grain pasta, and sugary drinks are the leading source of accumulation of fat in the abdominal area. Replacing saturated fats and trans fats with polyunsaturated fats and eating small meals rather than three big ones can also help. But drastically cutting calories is not a good diet strategy, because it can force the body into starvation mode, slowing metabolism and causing it to store fat more efficiently later on.
